Watch D.O.G.S.

Our Watch D.O.G.S. have an eye on our schools!

Watch D.O.G.S. are Dads of Great Students, and we love welcoming them into our elementary schools. Here in Millard, each year more than 2,000 Watch D.O.G.S. spend a day in their child's elementary school, volunteering more than 12,000 hours annually.

Founded in 1998, Watch D.O.G.S. is one of the largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement, organizations in the country. More than 6,450 schools across the country have launched a program of their own. Each school year hundreds of thousands of fathers and father-figures make a positive impact on millions of children by volunteering millions of hours in their local schools.

Who are Watch D.O.G.S?

Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school principal or other administrator.

Millard Public Schools has a program in every elementary school. If you are interested in volunteering in a specific building, contact the school directly.

Volunteers may have to complete a background check. Contact Kelly Gallegos at kagallegos@mpsomaha.org to learn which forms you need.
